  This trip to the desert was nothing short of amazing.We had issues getting to wadi rum however we were severely lucky that zaids cousin drove past us and gave us... read more a ride to the accommodation(free of charge) this made us feel very welcome!Upon entering the camp a young man took our bags to our room and insisted he carried them, we were greeted with tea and given some time get ready before doing our excursions.We did the 4 hour jeep tour and sand boarding while also having dinner at the camp.The 4 hour jeep tour was sensational, lots of fun for me and my partner and we made memories for life while also ending this with a sunset view. We then arrived back at home and got ready for dinner which was tasty.The accommodation was spotlessly clean, comfy bed and a working toilet and shower which after a long day in the desert we had a cold shower however hot water was available.We ended the night laying under the stars talking by campfire.All the people were super friendly!

So an $25 per night room ended up being $90 for a night in a tent. It was a great experience but i wish they were more up front with the fees.

Abbiamo fatto diverse richieste, anche scomode, agli host e sono stati sempre gentili e ci hanno aiutato in ogni modo. Sono delle persone fantastiche. Abbiamo usufruito anche dei jeep tour, informatevi bene prima su come sono nello specifico questi tour e cosa visitano. Visto che per noi il tour intero era anche troppo lungo.Per il resto la zona in cui è situato il camp è impagabile, silenzio e colori che creano un’atmosfera fantastica. Grazie ancora agli host che ci hanno fatto divertire e sentire a casa!

  Really positive stay in Wadi Rum. I would recommend a stay with Zaid’s family. We spent a full day tour with Raad, one of Zaids brothers, which was fun and... read more adventurous. Make sure to wear comfy shoes because we were on our feet all day. A bit more info about itinerary would have been helpful but transport, food and pace were all good. The food was delicious, cooked by Mustafa, they made a nice presentation of the traditional cooking style which was cool. The additional cost of the dinner I thought indicated that there would be a more affordable alternative option but there wasn’t. The dinner and activities were to be paid in cash which was fine but notice would have been appreciated. It wasn’t communicated until we were returned to the village when we were lied to about the closest ATM being 1 hour away. The closest ATM was in fact 5min down the road. Don’t know what the intention was but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, fun couple days in the desert.

  This is a truly family run camp made up of Zaid's brothers and cousins. Zaid picked me up at the rest house and drove me out to the camp along... read more with picking me up a box lunch for the day. Their camp is in an alcove on its own making it very private. The community Bedouin cooked dinners were plentiful along with the breakfast spread. The accommodations are simple but comfortable. My guide for the day was Ali and he was funny, accommodating, knowledgeable and we had a fantastic lunch cooked over wood found in the desert. It was an amazing day touring! Be prepared to walk a ton and climb a lot. You are part of the family as soon as you arrive with the tea always brewing. Great camp for the money and fabulous experience in Wadi Rum.
